Must be able to use all inspection hand tools, surface plate, gages and computer. Calibration Techncian needed to calibrate gages and tools and maintain ISO and AS9100 calibration system.

REQUIREMENTS
POSITION SUMMARY:
Works within Superior Thread Rolling Co. quality control manual and SOP guidelines to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established quality standards. Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Identify and act upon areas of needed improvement. Assist with all other quality functions by teaming with other employees. Works within our standard operating proceedures and AS9100 quaility systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Selects products for Inspections at specified stages in production process such as receiving, final and in-process, and inspects products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics. Performs in-process inspection in shop.
Records inspection and test data and information on router, receiving or final inspection log as necessary and maintains final Certification package files such that traceability per QC manual is maintained.
Performs Purchase Order Review to inspect for correct specification revision levels and any other pertinent quality requirements. Vendor Certification and document review.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management staff when a discrepancy or question arises.
Support and assist with customer source inspection activities.
(May) Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
Maintains Raw Material Audit log, Serial Number Issue Log and STR DMR/RR issue log for traceablility. Assigns defect codes and cause codes to rejection reports and DMR's created at the receiving point and researches appropriate quality and production costs and attaches this to DMR.
Troubleshoot problems and solve discrepancies. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Records all direct and indirect labor performed using DCD traveler to work on jobs and indirect codes for other QC related duties.
Performs internal auditing to support the intentions of the quality system
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Training and Experience: Between 3 to 7 years of trade school, vocational education, Quality control work experience, and/or apprenticeship in the aerospace industry is desired.
Physical Demands: The employee is required to:
Stand, walks, push, pulls, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
Exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
