SummaryProvides direct leadership of assigned personnel in the Receiving and Material Handling departments. Responsible for collaborating with Inventory Management, Quality and Sales Function to resolve discrepancies with incoming issues Responsible for Supervising direct labor to meet or exceed set run rates, elapsed times and other performance metrics. 
Major Essential Functions  Proficient use of RF gun and functions associated with Provia (WMS), Fourgen and JDE as they apply to receipt processing  Must have working knowledge of Receiving and Material Handling department functions to train and cross train associates  Monitors Receiving and Material Handling personnel to ensure functions are performed within SOP specifications  Works with Quality and Industrial Engineering to maintain, evaluate and make recommendations to improve all relevant processes  Communicates with appropriate Sales, Purchasing and Supply Chain personnel in order effectively provide product receipt and movement information in order to meet and or exceed vendor/customer requirements  Communicates with Inbound Manager and Director of Supply Chain Logistics to define work schedules that minimize overtime and reduce labor costs  Manages staff and all personnel to comply with Brightpoint values: Accomplishment, Integrity, Learning, Respect and Community involvement Provides leadership and guidance to all staff for continual improvement of key functions and activities to improve efficiency and meet increasing customer and business demands  Ensures labor is reallocated from one department to another as required to meet each day’s business needs, minimize overtime and reduce labor costs  Monitor status in all areas of the department and prioritize work and adjust/move staff where appropriate Maintains a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors and their departmental personnel at all times  Responsible for managing the administrative tasks of validating Kronos punches and correcting missed punches (daily), checking Nextrak for employee actions needed (daily), executing the Corrective Action Responses and implementing corrective changes to meet the required timelines outlined in the process document and executing the Quarterly/Annual Employee Performance Appraisal processes meeting the HR timeline as published  Demonstrates Brightpoint’s values: Accomplishment, Integrity, Quality, Learning, Respect, and Community involvement Minor Monitors and manages adjustment to Kronos and Nextrak attendance activity  Responsible for consistent enforcement of Brightpoint policies as prescribed in the Brightpoint Employee Policy Manual  Ownership of ISO training records for area and recommends changes to business processes to optimize efficiency Recommends layout changes to improve velocity and performance  Complies with safety and OSHA policies (ongoing) Responsible for housekeeping as designated by zone management cleaning schedule  Responsible for timely Receipt of Product: 4 hours for compliant and 24 hours for non compliant  Responsible for additional tasks as assigned to meet or exceed the expectations of customers and or Brightpoint management based on our fluid business needs  Clears Red Cone issues within 24 hours  Monitors employee performance/productivity
REQUIREMENTS
College degree or equivalent experience Minimum2 years experience in a fast paced, high volume distribution center Equipment certification to allow for operation of sit down forklift, dock stocker, stand up, reach truck and walkie stacker MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), interpersonal & conflict resolution skills, basic math skills. Proficient use of RF gun and functions associated with Provia (WMS), Fourgen and JDE as they apply to receipt processing. Must have working knowledge of all Receiving and Material Handling department functions so as to train & cross train associates.
