Grinding ID/OD Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift

Seeking individual to assume responsibility for the operation of machining centers that are used to produce high quality rotating aircraft engine components to established production standards and schedules.
Responsibilities:- Performing machining tasks on ID/OD grinding machines.
- Learning and operating the other factory equipment at a functional level for all work centers.
- Training others in the use of the same work centers.
- Completing required tasks within the business unit without direct supervision.- Executing tasks according to production schedules.
- Obtaining and maintaining qualification for Operator Certification in compliance with production standards and manufacturing practices.
- Learning process control techniques related to PS2000, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Operator Certification.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, comprehend and follow all related work instructions including but not limited to: production planning boards, process documents (i.e. operation sheets, inspection method sheets, N/C program sheets, manufacturing travelers, Pre-Flight Checklists, and various training materials)
- Must be proficient with various measuring tools (such as micrometers, swing gages, etc.)
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent level of instruction.Must be self-motivated and willing to strive to achieve Team goals as they relate to: Process Improvements, Financial Goals, Quality Metrics, Turn Around time or the reduction of machining time and inefficient operations.
