Faurecia, a driving force . . . for your professional growth. Our Exhaust Division is looking for welders for its production plant at Troy, Ohio. The welder is responsible for the manual MIG welding of production parts and TIG repair of rework parts. The welder maintains quality and quantity standards in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Makes exhaust parts by positioning components into the weld fixture and welding them together (using various methods/equipment such as a rotisserie, Y-pipe, etc.). Visually inspects for defects. Keeps count of completed product, records and disposes of defective parts, and packs parts as required. Moves materials, supplies, and finished goods manually or using a hand truck. May cut up scrap. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to adapt to heat in the summer and cold in the winter. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, exert 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and exert up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to push, pull, stand, and walk. This job involves considerable bending and twisting, and some reaching is required. High mental and visual efforts are required. This job involves exposure to moderate burns, flying objects such as weld slag and sparks, weld fumes, and dust. QUALIFICATIONS All candidates must have the following qualifications: Training and certification in MIG/TIG welding; all qualified candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment welding test. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; vocational or trade school preferred. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background/reference check. Satisfactory company work records, including attendance. Willingness to work required overtime and flexibility to work either 1st or 2nd shift. Ability to communicate well with employees at all levels. Good math, language, and reading skills.
