Job Description:
Provide technical support and expertise to heat treat areas. Includes: Troubleshooting tooling and heat treat furnace related problems; writing procedures and instructions; aiding in developing new processes or products; submitting metallurgical lab samples; auditing processes and products for conformance.
Heat treats experimental, prove design and /or test lot parts, involving complicated setups and processes. Works from data furnished by Engineers and Metallurgists, blueprints, special work orders and own knowledge of metallurgy. Often involves the processing of expensive material where above average skill, care and judgment are required to insure quality results and prevent excessive monetary losses. Makes setup, performs or directs the operation, checks work using any heat treat testing equipment, micrometers, etc., and records all pertinent data. Makes or suggests improvements to Engineers, Metallurgists or supervisor with whom he works in close cooperation.
Performs investigational work on an advanced nature relative to heat treatment, heating, plating, coating and cleaning of experimental and production parts to provide operating instructions and to develop equipment and processes. Performs operation using any production heat treat equipment or has operation performed by regular operator. Determines the sequence of operations affecting heat-treating to get best routing follows up and inspects or has each operation inspected. Make a sketch so that required tooling can be provided. Investigates causes of rejected work; assists in making layouts of production heating equipment, assists in making cost studies of tools, equipment and energy; studies equipment performance and burden and makes or suggests improvement.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 year Associates Degree with work experience in manufacturing environment. Work experience with heat treat processes is desired. Knowledge of Excel and Word desired. Must be a self-starter and ability to work in a team environment.

Full Time with benefits (minimum of 40 hours)
Third Shift (night bonus $.60)
Wages: $17.32
