Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Large manufacturing company has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift. Candidate MUST have experience in the following to be considered:

HI SPEED PACKAGING EQIUIPMENT
ALLEN BRADLEY PLC'S
SCALES

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, facilities and electrical systems for production readiness.
2. Inspect equipment for potential problems, PM equipment to minimize breakdowns and adjust for optimum operation.
3. Maintain current equipment schematics, programming and documentation to enhance troubleshooting.
4. Assess equipment, process and facilities to increase efficiency, production and safety.
5. Complete projects in a timely manner so production can operate as scheduled.
6. Help maintain spare parts inventory to reduce equipment down time.

i) Context/Environment

Responsible for all aspects of electrical maintenance on all equipment and facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
2.Should have at least a high school education with 2 year technical degree or corresponding experience.
3.Excellent troubleshooting abilities with and without documentation.
4.Working knowledge of Allen Bradley panel view and PLC’s.
5.Be able to use basic test equipment i.e. meters, scopes etc.
6.Must be computer literate.
7.Must be familiar with AC/DC motors, drives and control circuits.
8.Working knowledge of the NEC.
