Continuous Improvement Leader

SUMMARYLeads and coordinates all Continuous Improvement activities in assigned plant and ensures follow-up activities are completed and realized gains are maintained. The scope of influence of this position will span Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Product Planning, Scheduling and support functions. This position plays a very key role in carrying out the organization's strategies to improve value to our customers. Works with limited supervision, is able to make correct decisions on the spot and develops and implements creative solutions. Promotes the process and trains all members of the plant on lean principles. This requires creativity and strong communication skills. Demonstrate ability to effectively implement projects including projects that impact multiple plants and achieve desired results.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B. S. or B.A.) from four-year college or university; and four plus years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer Green Belt with training in SixSigma tools. Experience in leading multiple shop floor events as well as high participation on a variety of event types. Successful experience working with both upper management as well as operators. Proven leadership experience.
