Full Time Manufacturing Production Openings



Chippers: Starting wages $12.43/hr with pay increases amounting to an additional $4.00 an hour more over 3 years.



Description: Working in the Cleaning and Finishing or Small Parts Department must be able to perform hard physical work grinding and chipping castings under the direction of a supervisor or lead person. Uses a chipping hammer or grinder to remove fins, lumps and other excess metal projections and defects from steel castings. Must take and pass the Finishing Standards Course then grind and fit gauges to produce acceptable, quality castings.



Welders: This job requires that applicants be experienced as a stick/arc welder preferably having completed a training course at an approved training center. Upon completion of the "Destructive Unlimited Thickness Weld Test" rate of pay is

$13.46 - $15.52 an hour plus incentive in some cases.



Description: Working under the direction of a supervisor performs a variety of work including welding and burning in any location on a steel casting using properly adjusted electric and other welding equipment and oxygen acetylene or natural gas burning equipment. Helps using gauges and fixtures required to determine dimensional correctness. Uses grinder to fit gauges and fixtures required to determine dimensional correctness.



Our normal work week is Monday through Friday with frequent mandatory Saturdays. You will most likely be on 2nd or 3rd shift. Previous work experience required; labor experience preferred. Work is extremely physical and requires you to be able to lift 100 lbs. properly. We are a 1000 employee foundry that produces castings for the railroad industry. Hiring process includes physical, drug test, and physical demands test.
