CNC Machinist

*This is a night shift position; 10:30pm to 5:30am
*Plans machining by studying drawing and specifications. Reads and interprets blueprints.
*Operation of all related conventional equipment for design and building of all products.
*Programs mills and lathes by writing own programs and installing, setting tool registers, offsets; proving part programs.
*Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.
*Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
*Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
*Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
*Other duties as required; some overtime may be needed
REQUIREMENTS
*High school diploma required or equivalent experience.
*3+ yrs. machining experience.
*Blueprint reading / first piece inspection knowledge.
*Working knowledge of computers and computer systems.
*Excellent communication and team skills.
