BUYER II

The Valspar Corporation, a growing and global leader in the paint and coatings industry with annual revenues of more than $2.7 billion, has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join us as our Buyer II, in Montebello, CA.
REQUIREMENTS
Obtains materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.

Studies market trends, analyzes quotations received, places orders and schedules deliveries.

Supervises order preparation and follows up orders to expedite delivery and shipment.

Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation.

Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in business administration or equivalent experience.

5-7 years experience required.

Must have excellent organizational skills.

Must be capable of working independently and have good decision making skills.

Must have strong communication skills, written and oral.

Must have good computer skills.

Capable of interacting with all departments at various levels.
