Our Spectrum Sciences & Software, Inc. subsidiary in Fort Walton Beach, Florida has an immediate need to for an experienced Assembler to support our Manufacturing division in production and quality control.In this exciting role you will assemble a variety of products. Handle high and average weight parts, hand and power tools, components, assembly, wire harness, mechanical parts, scope, diagnostic, schematics, signal generator.
Duties require a high degree of accuracy in fitting and adjusting material to meet exacting specifications as to location. Perform operations required to position, attach, cut, strip, solder and assemble components in the location and sequence shown on drawings. Perform tests on complete unit following prescribed procedures.
Use work instructions, assembly drawings and bills of material to aid in assembly and repair of machines.Check for workmanship and flaws on materials and sub-assemblies to be assembled.Use shims and other means of adjustment to finalize production of machinesChange heads, blades, dies etc., and correct minor problems with machines used in assembly processes.Troubleshoot and repair manufactured machines at all stages of completion.Test and ensure all production line machines are operational prior to transporting to Quality.Use computer and bills of material to locate part numbers, assembly numbers and job numbers needed for W.I.P.Set up work stations for assembly including: work instructions, tools and orderly arrangement of raw materials.Instruct others in use of tools, fixtures and assembly procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Requirements:
Use shop mathematics, charts and tables. Work from logic diagrams, rough sketches, samples or blueprints using a variety of measuring instruments. Prior knowledge of wiring, assembly techniques and procedures required. Ideal candidate will have the equivalent of two plus years of training and or experience.

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts.
