2nd Shift Desktop Production Supervisor
Desktop Supervisor Investment & Corporate Banking, Chicago
Hours: 11:30 am - 8:00 pm
Responsibilities:
Provide high quality, professional desktop publishing, production and design services to Investment and Corporate Banking. Work with other administrative staff, aid and facilitate internal team members in the completion of client communications and I&CB marketing materials. Recruit and supervise Desktop staff. Organize training for Administrative staff and Clients. Implement and maintain a system for quality control. Liaise with external suppliers/contractors, other internal departments. Manage charges for service including reallocation of costs. Create and implement new and innovative operating procedures where necessary. Provide creative advice, feedback and support. Ensure Clients are provided with top notch service.
B. Coordinate Desktop workflow: Receives all client requests for Desktop work, extracts all pertinent information from them, negotiates deadline. Follows up with each job to make sure it gets done by the set deadline and keeps clients informed of any events that can have an impact upon the turnaround of their request. Ensures appropriate coverage for nights/weekends and makes it available, for easy client reference. Template troubleshooting. Must be able to effectively balance the Coordination aspect of the job with the Document Production aspect.
C. Document Production: Document production in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator and Acrobat; mapping software and other programs as required. Production, editing, layout and distribution of publications, on-screen presentations, slides and various collateral for the Bank, as requested. Advanced formatting for flowcharts, organization charts, tables, graphs, word processing and other documents as required. Corporate functions: invitations, menus, placecards, nametags, signs and artwork for specialized gifts. Recreating logos, creating/enhancing graphics and images i.e. photographs. Responsible for delivering client-ready material (including printing and binding). Ensure all materials conform to visual identity, compliance and confidentiality standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Computer skills: High-end skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for advanced document production; intermediate skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional, and mapping software (MapInfo Professional) for graphic design and slide production. Scanning skills, technical skills with equipment also required.

Education: Post secondary education in Graphic Design or equivalent experience. Previous supervisory experience. 5-7 years Graphics/Desktop publishing experience.
