The Hospital came into being in 1854 when a catastrophic explosion created the need to treat the many injured. In 1994, The Institute of Living, a psychiatric hospital founded in 1822, became the Mental Health Division of Hartford Hospital.

Hours: FT 40 hoursDirect responsibilites include, but not limited to, all facets of daily opertions from opening to closing, leadership with the ability to set goals for the team and the dept., staff development and oversight, meet/exceed health dept. codes for food safety and cleanliness, and overall expertise to ensure effective operations and customer satisfaction.As a teaching hospital, Hartford Hospital is a primary affiliate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry for both graduate and undergraduate medical education.

REQUIREMENTS
College degree, minimun Associates degree required. 3-5 years food service experience REQUIRED. This position REQUIRES an experienced manager with a positive/up-beat attitude with emphasis on service excellence for him/herself and staff. Knowledge of POS systems REQUIRED. Excellent customer serivce and communication skills. Able to speak, read and write English. Flexible scheduled to fill- in as required. . Must be capable of handling a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
