Training Manager

•Support learning and development needs of Sybase North America field operations by assisting in the organization and maintenance of operating standards and practices.

•Develop, coordinate, and conduct training programs for regional managers, sales reps and systems consultants on a regular basis as well as evaluating the results.

•Create participant guides, facilitators’ guides, evaluations, and other presentation materials with technical assistance as required.

•Manage the development, production, design, and distribution of training materials to support standards and practices for regional managers, sales reps and systems consultants.

•Facilitate the identification of gaps in knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics that will require training to ensure alignment between training programs/development materials and the job environment.

•Create assessment and survey tools to ensure standards and practices remain current.

•Other duties as assigned.

•Provides leadership and motivates staff at all organizational levels.Job Requirements
•Must have a keen ability to write and verbally communicate information to groups of various sizes.

•Knowledgeable of training design characteristics which include: ability to design training, define training objectives, develop a plan of instruction, establish learning principles and use testing practices to determine the success of the training, while making changes based on results.

•Outstanding ability to facilitate and lead a group through a process to achieve a desired outcome.

•12 years of training experience with a background in business and a knowledge of adult education preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Expert knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)

BA/BS degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Ability to travel as required.
