Job Description: Summary
Manages the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of Information Services' project work efforts, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, and resource requirements. Develops and executes project management plans that incorporate the following components: time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement, and integration.Tasks & Accountabilities
Initiates, plans, executes, and controls project efforts that utilize information technology solutions.Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IS community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement and integration.Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks; manages project resources and reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle.Identifies and gains allocation of project team resources; obtains business and information technology sponsor approvals; and coordinates the resources necessary to successfully complete the project.Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers.Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities.Manages prioritization procedures for changing scope (i.e., change management) and project acceptance procedures.Sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes.Measures progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents applying change control procedures.Identifies opportunities for cross-discipline participation and contacts appropriate personnel.Develops methods to measure customer satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for contracted time, cost, and performance.Serves as consultant to management on major matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 8-11 years experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 5-7 years experience in related field.Professional certification required.8+ years experience in a Sr. Project Manager role.Previous experience managing 5-8 concurrent large projects.Previous experience with large billing and collections systems strongly desired.Tools: MS Project and other company internal tracking tools.Experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple and changing priorities.Previous industry experience in transportation or logistics a plusDepartment: AMISCity & IATA Code: Scottsdale-PHX AMIS-PHX AMISStart Date: IMMEDIATEEmployment Category: Permanent (Full-Time)Working Hours: 40
