POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
As an investor in electronic mortgages (eMortgage), Fannie Mae is developing capabilities that allow lenders to streamline loan delivery and to take full advantage of the eMortgage value. eMortgages are paperless, digitally signed mortgage documents that offer lenders opportunities for faster funding and reduced operational costs and risks. Fannie Mae has been a leader in this emerging market for the last 6 years (since Federal E-SIGN became law), and we are helping our lenders and the industry set standards and put the digital "highway" in place to increase eMortgage adoption.
This role is broad in scope and requires cross-coordination with many internal Fannie Mae organizations, development of relationships with key industry players, and research and analysis of market trends and developments. The results will be central to the development of a long-term Fannie Mae eMortgage strategy.
More specifically, s/he must:
Represent and be the voice of Fannie Mae for industry forums, seminars, conferences and focus groups;
Develop and execute an industry-wide eMortgage survey (and create a framework for repeating the survey in the future);
Establish relationships with key senior industry leaders. Lead and direct market assessments and focus groups with senior industry leaders;
Analyze raw results, interpret results against real industry barriers, and formulate recommended strategies for Fannie Mae's continued presence in the eMortgage arena;
Perform other marketing research functions, all of which are designed to assess current market conditions, catalog barriers and friction points, and predict eMortgage adoption over the next 2-5 years.
Based on the above, develop a business case for Fannie Mae's future activities in the eMortgage arena.
Develop execution plans for the business case and refine over time.
