Shift Manager - Days

Typical hours are Wed. – Sat. from 6 am - 4:30 pm.This position is accountable for achieving shift production objectives at lowest cost, within desired quality and quantity. This would include the motivation, coaching and leading in the supervision of salaried and hourly associates.Primary Responsibilities:
Exercises direct supervision of production associates with regard to production volume, cost and quality of production, meeting production and shipping schedules.
Monitors assembly progress and performance with regard to the production schedule on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, documenting and reporting variances and takes action to ensure constant improvement.
Ensures adequate staffing through the selection and placement of permanent full-time and temporary associates.
Identifies and provides solutions for production or productivity issues.
Provides developmental training and performance evaluations for direct report associates.Knowledge & minimum qualifications required:
Five to ten years of progressively responsible experience in the supervision and management of manufacturing or
plant operations.
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Engineering (or related field) preferred.
Strong business acumen and computer literacy with a focus on budgeting and reporting.
Effective communication, organizational and team building skills.
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays on an as needed basis during a peak period
