Senior Project Manager - Margin Risk IT Development

Our Investment Bank is one of the world’s top global investment banking and securities firms, providing a full spectrum of products to institutional and corporate clients, intermediaries, government and hedge funds worldwide.The UBS Investment Bank based in Stamford, Connecticut is seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager to join the Prime Brokerage Margin Risk Management IT Development team. The successful candididate will be responsible for development and delivery of multiple projects, including management of Developers and working with our end-users. These users include Risk Managers, Sales, Operations and businesses development teams. The main responsibilities will include: Defining requirements, Application testing in design, development & UAT and Release Management across multiple software projects.The candidate will need to demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, as a major component of the role involves working side-by-side with the business teams on the trading floor. The individual will need to possess strong communication skills as he/she will be responsible for communicating project status and raising issues on a global level.This role will be joining an established Margin Risk development team within the Prime Brokerage IT business stream. The position will report into the Global Head of Margin Risk for PB IT. A minimum of 5+ years related Project Management IT experience. Experience within a Financial Services IT group supporting a Risk Management System would be a decisive asset. A strong background in capital markets, that includes knowledge of multiple asset classes. Specifically, a good knowledge of equities and fixed Income products. And, ideally, derivative and credit products as well. Knowledge of market and/or credit risk management. In depth knowledge of Prime Brokerage, Hedge Funds and Collateral/margin Management are big plusses. Strong IT Project Management skills, a PMP Certification is a plus. The preferred candidate should be capable of managing cross-team dependencies and resources from external groups.
