Senior Project Manager II
Hours/Schedule: 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM Description: Plan and Organize Projects:
Consults with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources
Defines or refine the project requirements and scope of project
Develops and maintain the project charter (Summary, Goals, Objectives, Project Deliverables, Strategy, Benefits, Assumptions, Risks, Critical Success Factors, Resource Requirements, Roles, Responsibilities)
Develops and maintain the project plan (Scheduling, Deliverables, Milestones, Estimates, Activities, Tasks, Resource Allocations)
Meets with the appropriate levels of Business Line, Support and IT Management to gain appropriate approvals
Coordinates recruitment or assignment of project personnel
Develops, maintains, and reporst on project perfomance metricsManage Project Activities:
Scope - Defines detailed scope and objectives of project
Risk (Identification, Evaluation, Mitigation, Control)
Cost (Budget Management, Resource Planning, Productivity Tracking, Manages to Financial Plan)
Quality (Implementation Planning, Deliverable Reviews, Quality Assurance Testing)
Vendor Management (Contract, Roles/Responsibilities, Manage Vendor Activities and SLAs)
Team Management (Roles/Responsibilities, Team Building, Lead and Direct the Team)
Project Close (Project Archive and Administration)
Lead the effort in creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting the business needsMonitoring and Communication:
Prepares project status reports and keep management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues
Conducts project status meetings with the project team
Records and tracks project issues through to resolution
Creates and maintains projects and project documentation within Project Management Office
Generates project deployment statistics, as requested
Get projects off the ground, keep them on track and budgetChange Control:
Ensures established change control process is executed effectively (includes Business Lines, other IT areas, Support, vendors, etc.)
Follows Project Change Control Procedures (Scope, Resources, Planning Assumptions)
Communicates all changes to the appropriate parties (other IT areas, Support and Business Lines)
Provides input to managers on staff performance for performance evaluations and plans.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent training and/or work experience. MBA preferred. PMI Certification preferred. Minimum five years of project management experience. Minimum three years of business unit experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving. Minimum five years of broad financial experience in the following areas:
Investment Management, mutual funds, trust funds, asset allocation, and portfolio management
Stock market trends, strategies and processes
Private financial services, financial planning, and accounting
Financial transaction processing, asset and wealth management
Trust, custody processing
Financial risk, regulation and complianceStrong PC skills including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word Micorsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint.Leadership. Ability to direct and drive project to closure. Knowledge of project management methodology.Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to present
Sophisticated interpersonal skills - able to establish rapport, communicate with many personality styles, and communicate to multiple levels of management
