Senior Project Manager Application Services
Business Unit: GE MoneyFunction: Information TechnologyResponsibilities: Job Description
Lead development, implementation and support for Regional Application Services initiatives including Middleware, Regional Data Management (e.g., CMAP, Metadata Repository, etc.), and Gentran projects.
Drive standardization of processes, messaging and communications technologies, consumer data models and data marts through the use of globally consistent tools and practices across P&L's.
Provide project management for various Regional Application Services initiatives and be responsible for proactively managing all aspects of IT project delivery through the complete project lifecycle
Manage daily activities for projects, issue resolution and communication across project teams in order to deliver projects on-time, on-budget and as-requested by IT and the business owners.
Develop & maintain relationships with the IT and Infrastructure teams
Manage contractors, programmers and analysts within the project scope from requirements through implementation.~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: - Bachelor degree
5+ years experience with credit card or Consumer Finance IT systems
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence team members, management and external groups. Proven ability to influence and interact effectively with senior level business leaders and manage expectations
Ability to multi-task on a variety of different projects involving complex work assignments
Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
Proven problem resolution and analytic skills
Project Management experience with large projects - proven track record
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and drive completion of deliverables from various functional sub-teamsDesired: - Working knowledge of GECF-A IT
Knowledge of Data Warehousing (AbInitio, CDCI, CMAP)
Knowledge of Middleware and IBM Websphere Datastage TX
Knowledge of GENTRAN
Previous GECF-A and FDR experience
Competence in MS Word, Excel, PPT, Visio Relevant
Masters Degree
