The Sterile Processing Supervisor has overall responsibility for the operations of Sterile Processing. Participates in the planning and development and is responsible for the implementation and management of new products, methods, procedures, systems, etc. Monitors and recommends changes to policies and procedures used in the management of inventory and production. Researches and reports in budget variances. Participates in the interview process, schedules, assigns, counsels, evaluates, handles corrective actions and recommends salary increases for assigned employees

Requires AA degree with emphasis on Biological Sciences, Nursing, Business or closely related field preferred; certification in Processing Speciality, or must obtain within six months of hire; and two years experience in hospital sterile processing operations, as well as working knowledge or current decontamination and sterilization techniques and principles increases for assigned employees
