SR. PURCHASING MANAGER

SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER:

Oversee a department of 7 employees,

Job Responsibilities
•Maintains FG forecast for 3 divisions.
•Manage FG purchase order process as related to MRP review.
•Requirements are processed within the department for vendor placement and purchase order issuance.
•Resolves purchasing/production related issues for both Domestic and Import goods.
•Delegate tasks and coordinate as needed to subordinates within Purchasing Department.
•Oversees traffic/imports with regard to FG and raw materials purchased by department.
•Responsible for coordination of schedule changes with sales, customers, and company departments, for the timely shipment of products according to customer requirements.
•Performs or manages all functions of Purchasing Department.
•Responsible for procurement functions.
•Will be responsible for the timely forecasting, planning, scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products. Inventory replenishment, transportation logistics inventory control and management
•Develop and maintain an effective department through training and assignment.
•Regularly reviews the progresses of work in the department – questions have been answered, decisions have been acted upon, and problems have been resolved.
•Manages issues and projects within the department as required.
REQUIREMENTS
SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
5-10 years management experience in an outsourcing manufacturing environment, preferably in the Footwear/Handbag/Leather Industry.
Must have a thorough understanding of MRP concepts.
Experience with operations as it relates to procurement and related software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Detail oriented and computer proficient.
Excellent negotiation skills required.
Must be an effective leader and possess the ability to think both analytically and strategically and then be able to develop and implement strategy. Initiate and implement special projects as required.
Must have computer skills, MS Word and Excel.
