Entry Level Retail Supervisor:The Assistant Operations Supervisor is responsible for aiding the Operations Supervisor with the day-to-day functions of the sales floor. This includes monitoring the flow of customers and providing fast, efficient service; overseeing the maintenance of the sales floor, dressing rooms, rest rooms, entrance and parking lot area of the store; supervising and directing operations team members; orientating and training new team members; monitoring and providing feedback on team members’ performances; following all company policies and procedures and ensuring they are upheld; opening and closing the store as scheduled; and managing the operations department in the absence of the Operations Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous retail/customer service experience preferred.Capable of performing all operations department functions, including salesclerk duties.Ability to communicate well in English, both in verbal and written forms.Excellent interpersonal and demonstrated motivational skills.Strong mathematical skills.Ability to plan, organize, execute and manage the work of those reporting to the Assistant Operations Supervisor.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or verbal form.Ability to reason, make decisions, and use independent judgment in various situations.
