Regional Sales Manager-Acute Care
Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: SalesResponsibilities: Responsible for setting and meeting the sales objectives and goals for the Sales Region with average sales $50m. Must develop a plan, communicate it to the Sales Representatives, and motivate them to achieve it. Must measure the results and modify the plans accordingly. Responsible for the management
of direct reports and must be able to effectively lead a team of indirect stakeholders, including
Account Managers, Applications, Project Management and Headquarters personnel
Develop and implement sales plans/processes for the Region and for each Sales Representative in the Region.
Review the results with each Sales Representative on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Work with each person to modify their plans accordingly so that they can meet agreed upon objectives. Review the Region's results regular basis and discuss with the Sales Director. Modify plans and strategies accordingly so that agreed upon objectives can be met.
Work with regional Sales Representatives, Marketing, Corporate Accounts, Service, CAS, Finance, and other GE sales divisions supporting their activities to develop sales strategies for key accounts, large sales objectives, and major competitors.
Provide the leadership and motivation necessary for the Sales Representatives to meet their own and the Region's objectives. Communicate to employees the responsibilities of conducting themselves in a professional manner as company representatives and the importance of maintenance and protection of company assets.
Develop proficiency in clinical/technical knowledge, applications, strategic and tactical sales skills and competitive product knowledge for the Acute products at the expert level.
Operate within the approved region's expense budget for the fiscal year.
Develop sales force to communicate and to be aware of market and competition activities, business conditions and new product needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *BA or BS, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing and 10 years sales experience or a HS Diploma and 15 years sales management experience
Must live in sales region and be willing to travel up to 60% of time, within the region and to national sales meetings and tradeshows.
Unrestricted work authorization in the US, without sponsorship
Willingness to submit to and pass a drug test and educational, employment and criminal background checks.Desired: *Documented, successful sales management experience of 5 years or more in the healthcare area strongly preferred.
Experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports
Proficiency in Miller-Heiman Strategic Selling principles and tools.
MBA
