REGIONAL SALES MANAGER (Home Improvements)

The Regional Sales Manager will train and manage a brand-new direct sales team while actively selling our customized decorative security doors and gates directly to customers. This position requires a self-motivated and dedicated sales manager. We are the premier company in our space and, for the first time, there is an opportunity to sell directly to the customer, and create a regional sales territory in San Diego. If you’re in the area and you are a self-starter with 5-7+ years of combined sales and sales management experience – we’d like to talk to you.

The Position:
As a Sales Manager, you will lead and inspire 4 - 7 newly recruited Outside Sales Representatives
You will interview Outside Sales Representatives and make hiring recommendations, actively collaborating with the Staffing Manager to build a regional sales team
You will continually evaluate Sales Representatives’ progress and performance, identifying and recommending staff turnover needs
You will provide continuous feedback to the company, submitting the required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
You will work with the Company Trainer to create high caliber Company training materials and a training program for new Outside Sales Representatives
You will personally lead most of the training workshops for new hires, and escort new Outside Sales Representatives on appointments as needed
As a sales professional who is still actively involved in selling, you will work directly with customers in their homes, using Company generated leads, to sell our customized decorative security doors and gates
You will finalize the appointment with the interested home owner, close the sale – often multiple sales that enhance the entire perimeter of the home, and work with colleagues to ensure that the customer has a great experience
Naturally, you will leverage every appropriate contact and relationship to generate leads and appointments with prospective customers
Based on your proven sales record and understanding of the sales process, you will convert appointments to sales with a high closing ratio and make multiple sales.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
A passion for home design, home ownership, and home safety – home improvement sales experience is required
Thrive on the blend of challenge, creativity, and dedication involved in building out a territory through your team’s direct sales efforts
Your demonstrated ability building out a direct sales territory can be verified with metrics, sales awards, and references
You have 3-5 years’ documented sales management experience, coaching and training a team of sales representatives
Personal attributes including: professionalism, the ability to inspire and lead a sales team, excellent training skills, integrity, effective managerial style
Highly motivated self-starter; in addition you possess and therefore model a highly disciplined sales approach
Ability to think on your feet and respond in real time; to recognize and act upon sales opportunities as they occur
You are intuitive, listen well, hear what the customer wants and respond with a sense of urgency. As a Sales professional you quickly form rapport and build relationships.
You are technology savvy and know how to use a computer, the internet, mapping and scheduling tools and other technology to make your job easier and to help the company gather critical information and data.
