Quality Assurance Manager

SUMMARY:

We have an immediate opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager with extensive experience in leading an IT quality assurance department. Excellent background in quality assurance and business analysis is imperative

The purpose of this position is to provide supervision and teambuilding to a quality assurance department. The position will have high level of responsibility, room for growth, interaction with other areas, cutting edge technology, in an exciting, challenging and growing environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Provide overall leadership for Rapid Solutions Group IT quality assurance department including staffing, supervision of quality assurance specialists (testers), performance appraisals, team development, process development and controls and project/task assignments.
•Develop test strategies and plans to support client implementations and internal software development projects.
•Develop reusable test scripts based on project requirements, system functionality and input from business units, project managers and developers.
•Test software using structured methodologies (run test cases).
•Communicate effectively with business units, clients and development teams.
•Participate on client calls to discuss system and testing requirements as well as project and testing status.
•Utilize Critical Chain Project Management techniques and Concerto software to manage project tasks and department throughput.
•Identify and implement QA process improvements
•Perform business analysis as needed to understand/develop project requirements as needed – may play multiple roles on a project.
•Schedule and coordinate quality assurance/testing activities with development, support, production, clients and business units.
•Build relationships and communicate effectively with IT, Operations, and Strategic Business Unit Owners
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS REQUIRED:

•Solid understanding of structured Quality Assurance Methodologies as well as Use Case Definition, Quality Attributes and Business Process Flows
•Development and project management experience is a plus
•Extensive AS/400, C++ and Web-based application quality assurance experience
•A strong understanding of inventory/warehouse management concepts is desired
•Strong project and time management skills with the ability to meet assigned timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Flexibility and adaptability necessary to thrive in an innovative, fast- paced environment with shifting priorities.
•Strong interpersonal skills for consultation with clients and vendors.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to extend workday, and/or respond to emergency calls as needed.
•Ability to draft Quality Assurance test plans to validate business requirements.
•Knowledgeable in resource management, budget management techniques.
•Experienced in planning & forecasting
•Experienced in proactive risk management and mitigation.
•Experienced in implementing change.
•Skilled in organizing and facilitating project and quality assurance review meetings.
•Skilled in leading teams and creating a productive teamwork environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of IT business analysis and quality assurance experience required
Print shop experience a plus
