QA Lead/Manager

Position Summary
• Our new lead of the QA team will work with various IT and business units--both internal and external--to plan and implement testing of platform billing and rating systems
• You’ll evaluate and test software programs using both manual and automated testing techniques to verify that programs function according to specifications and standards
• You are responsible for planning and coordinating the testing efforts of QA Engineers who are directly testing our billing and rating platform and business initiatives

Responsibilities
• Interface with senior managers to understand their testing objectives and report test case results
• Test software programs to compare to specifications and documentation.
• Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content
• Establish benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using testing software programs
• Develop standards and procedures for program design and testing
• Conduct compatibility tests with other software programs, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments
• Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent recurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
• Document, track, and communicate test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
• 5-10 years of QA experience in related fields
• 1+ year of experience as a lead or equivalent in an environment with several mission critical releases
• Working knowledge of software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, diagrams (Visio), and project management
• Experience with Billing and Rating systems such as Telecordia (ISCP) or Convergys is a plus!
