Project Manager
Purpose: Large mainstream consumer electronics organization is seeking a senior level Project Manager.
Responsibilities include:
*ensuring that appropriate internal or external systems solutions are
identified, while leveraging the full capabilities and re-usability of existing internal applications to create efficiencies where possible.
*work in partnership with functional experts to determine the best IT solutions, establish appropriate operating environments, and ensure that the final product meets with client acceptance.
*adhering to project schedules and delivering solutions that comply with system testing, QA, and project change management standards.
*Production support will be provided as appropriate. Candidate must be available to work weekends and off hours as needed.
*No relocation is offered.
Key responsibilities include:
*Application / data architecture management
- Deep technical expertise, data flow, data management
- Data integration & testing
- Function & feature management
- Production Assurance / Upgrade / Support
- Compliance, patch management & minor enhancements
- Primary liaison to production support, infrastructure, internal technical entities.

*Must have managed projects in a size greater than $500K
*Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
*Must possess strong project management skills including:
-Customer and scope management
-Developing and creating SOW
-Budget management, ROI and Risk assessment
-Delivery and change management
-Testing, data conversion, implementation
-Proven ability to understand and appropriately utilize industry solutions and trend information in systems design initiatives.
-Ability to successfully translate SOW requirements into detailed systems specifications.
-Manage on-going deliverable management with developers.
-Proven project management skills and the ability to deliver solutions in a matrix business structure requiring the juggling of multiple projects, initiatives and priorities in anticipation of and/or response to fast-paced changes.
*Functional Knowledge:
-Understanding of the Logistics function is critical. Must have prior experience in one or more of Logistics, Distribution, Manufacturing, or other process industries or functions.
-Good to have experience in the design/integration of logistic systems (Warehouse Management, Transportation, Freight Audit/Accrual, etc.). o Good to have experience with integration to Order Management systems is important (SAP, Oracle, custom applications)
Technical Knowledge:
*Technical experience required in mainframe development (COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MVS JCL, IMS) and data transmission
methodologies.
*Must possess strong ability to assimilate emerging solutions, vendor packages and technologies.
*Pluses:
Experience with several of the following is a plus: ERP: SAP, Oracle Manufacturing, Oracle Financials; UNIX Server: IBM AIX, Regatta, Oracle 9i;
Mainframe: IBM MVS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, Sync Sort, EZTrieve, FOCUS, COBOL
Non-technical skills essential for this assignment:
-Strong communication and Presentation skills
*Education / General:
-Possess a BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
-Minimum of 7 years experience in business and technical analysis or equivalent level of experience.
In lieu of degree must have minimum of 11 years experience o Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) and Microsoft Project
Issues regarding working environment: Deadline intensive, lack of supervision, self starter, etc.
