Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is a private, non-profit human service agency focused exclusively on non-residential community-based programming. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, YAP currently operates more than 125 individual programs in Arizona, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington, D.C. Outside the United States, YAP, Inc. has partnered in Great Britain to establish advocate programs in London, the Midlands and has expanded into Ireland.
YAP Mission: The agency's mission is to provide individuals who are, or have been, or may be, subject to compulsory care with the opportunity to develop, contribute, and be valued as assets so that communities have safe, proven, effective and economical alternatives to institutional placement.
Youth Advocate Program, Inc. seeks a high energetic Program Director with a strong clinical and management background for its behavioral health program. The office is located in Glendale with service responsibilities county-wide.
Skills/ Requirements The Director should have direct experience in the provision of home and community-based services and a background of working with youth and families with complex needs. The position requires a commitment to strength based, culturally competent, unconditional care, ability to supervise, motivate staff and assist in managing and developing program, family assessments, creativity and pro-active planning.
The Program Director is responsible for oversight and the direct administration of the local program. This includes personnel management, budget management, clinical supervision, an aptitude for understanding managed care and behavioral health contracts and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS
A recognized credential of a license such as LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or a CPC, a Masters degree in a human service related field is preferred, and a minimum of three years experience in a management and leadership role.
