The Policy Manager has responsibility for developing, maintaining and implementing security policies and supporting procedures by using industry standard practices. It is also the Policy Manager's responsibility to ensure that the security policy program is aligned with business risks, and to implement company-wide user awareness for the program. This individual will assist with the policy review and update process as needed and must comply with legal and regulatory requirements related to exception management and policy review.
Additionally, the Policy Manager must be able to demonstrate an ability to build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders in other departments, and obtain buy-in from executive management.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. 5+ years experience in use of industry standard practices (e.g. ITIL, ISO17799 etc), 5+ years in IT. 4+ years in project management, and 4+ years in policy management a must. COBIT, COSO, ITIL or equivalent government regulations knowledge. The ideal candidate has strong customer service, communication, presentation, and problem solving skills. CISSP, CISA or other security related certifications an advantage. Must possess the ability to handle matters in a professional, diplomatic, and expedient manner, especially when they include details of a confidential nature.
