PROJECT MANAGER II

Plans, schedules, conducts, and supervises/leads technically direct groups of medium to large-size architecural projects . Usually involves continuous client contact from the proposal stage to project completion. Provides overall project direction to the project team(s) while providing information about the status of the project to others in the firm. Recommends and locates equipment, and ensures its interface with other systems, reliability and safety. Plans and conducts work requiring high level of judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and modification of some unconventional and complex techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of design activities of moderate to highly complex projects. Initiates or escalates the correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project on schedule and within budget. This job coordinates resources for the project or is assigned to work on projects.Experience in corporate or higher education projects is required. Experience in justice projects is a plus. Field experience is essential. Additional Project Management training is a plus. Minimum 3-5 years of project managament experience beyond the 6-10 years experience as a practicing architect is required.Proficiency in Project Management software is required. Experience in CADD, REVIT CADD and BIM process is desirable.
