Operations Project Manager II

Position Description

The Integration & Project Management Group (IPM) assists Schwab
Operations' management to effectively engage in and implement
corporate initiatives within Operations. IPM establishes project
management best practices and serves as a resource for other Schwab
project management teams. In this role you will be responsible for
effectively initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing
projects assigned.

You will develop and document project plans, budgets, schedules and
status and

identify and document the roles, tasks, and responsibilities of the
project team.


Requirements

Solid knowledge of the financial services industry.
3 years project management experience with the proven ability
to assist more senior project managers in the successful
completion of large, complex and cross functional projects
and/ or managing small efforts independently
Demonstrated ability to take a leadership role in the
development and management of project teams (2 years) and in
developing an inclusive environment within which the teams
will work.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to
effectively communicate with all levels of management
Solid understanding of requirements development, UAT process
and tasks and ability to deliver associated work on a timely
basis
Strong knowledge of organizational procedures and policies,
products and services
Knowledge of Schwab's systems and technologies is a big plus.

Outstanding project management skills and interpersonal,
problem-solving, prioritization, conflict resolution,
analytical, influencing, facilitation, negotiating and time
and resource management skills

Key Factors for Success in this Role

Proven skills and leadership in all phases of project management.
Applies the generally accepted knowledge and practices for project
management as supported by PMI and Rational Unified Process

Outstanding interpersonal, facilitation and communication (oral and
written) skills

Strong tool knowledge (MS Office)
