Off-Site Pharmacy Manager

DESCRIPTION: 40 hrs, located at Bristol Hospital Pharmacy.The pharmacy manager is responsible to coordinate pharmaceutical care and operations in a variety of areas and is responsible for the management and coordination of resources on a daily basis. The scope of his/her professional practice varies from independent to dependent functioning according to the area of which he/she is assigned. Provides pharmaceutical care as part of a typical staff rotation.
The pharmacy manager is identified as being highly motivated and capable of directing both staff and operations. The pharmacy manager assesses needs, problem solves, and facilitates solutions. The pharmacy manager is a role model due to demonstrated competence.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:B.S. degree in PharmacyExperience:Five years hospital pharmacy practiceLicensure:Connecticut pharmacist licenseSkills:Interpersonal skills, assessment and analytical abilities to provide pharmaceutical care, manual dexterity for the performance of pharmaceutical compounding techniques, keyboard skills. Individual must be able to concentrate on fine detail with interruption and attend to tasks for more than 20 minutes at a time. Must be able to understand and relate to theories behind several related concepts, remember multiple tasks given over long periods of time, and be able to communciate in written word using advanced writen skills.
