Nurse Manager for Geriatrics Unit

DUTIES: The incumbent of this position will function as the Nurse Manager of Unit 1B in the Nursing Home Care Facility and will be responsible for managing the daily operations of that unit. The Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse who is accountable for the management and evaluation of care delivered by nursing and other allied health care staff. As a registered nurse, the Nurse Manager is also responsible for contributing to the establishment and implementation of nursing standards. As an interdisciplinary leader, the Nurse Manager uses appropriate consultation to ensure that practice and performance issues are addressed and managed for any other disciplines supervised.
REQUIREMENTS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
a.Citizenship
b.Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing
c.Currently licensed as a professional Nurse
d.Meets physical standards
e.English proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
a. BSN with a Masters Degree in Nursing or in a health related field is preferred.
b. Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience in Geriatrics/ Long Term Care
c. Experience in management.
d. Demonstrated strong clinical, interpersonal and communication skills.
