Manager, National Accounts

GENERAL SUMMARY: Manages National, Regional and Divisional Accounts of the Corporate Purchasing office. Evaluates, negotiates, and contracts potential long-term agreements with manufacturers and suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Evaluates potential corporate long-term purchasing agreements with product manufacturers and material suppliers.
•Develops implementation plans and provides support to division for roll out issues.
•Manages National Account suppliers through KPI development and continuous improvement efforts.
•Analyzes financial benefit and impact to Company.
•Negotiates and contracts with manufacturers, suppliers and other vendors.
•Determines contract terms and conditions of corporate and regional manufacturer agreements.
•Provides support to divisions for implementation of corporate purchasing agreements.
•Implements corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
•Ensures timely and expedient processing/receipt of vendor/national contract rebates.
•Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present/future material availability and receipt of competitive pricing.
•Researches new product.
•Attends trade shows on behalf of Company.
•Resolves problems with manufacturer/supplier product availability issues identified at the division level.
•Performs other duties as pertains to corporate purchasing initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
•Four to six years of experience in purchasing management required.
•Four year college degree in Engineering, Building Science or Construction Management preferred.
•Minimum two years in homebuilding industry experience required.
•Extensive knowledge of budgeting for homebuilding required.
•Excellent purchasing and negotiating skills.
•Excellent delegation and organization skills.
•Must be able to read blueprints.
•Should be proficient in computer skills (spreadsheet and word processing preferred).
•Willingness to travel as needed.
