In 1994, The Institute of Living, a psychiatric hospital founded in 1822, became the Mental Health Division of Hartford Hospital.

Hours: Perdiem hours. Per diem nursing supervisor for weekday and weekend shifts. day and evening shifts available.Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing and support staffs for 104 bed long term care facility. Acts as coach and clinical resource to nursing staff.As a teaching hospital, Hartford Hospital is a primary affiliate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry for both graduate and undergraduate medical education.

REQUIREMENTS
BSN with 3 years medical-geriatric nursing required. One year supervisory experience required. Problem solving ability, conflict resolution skill, team building ability and excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, external agencies and families.
