Functional Area: Human ResourcesPosition Description: Ensure compliance with Department of Labor/EEOC regulations and laws; develop and implement policies and programs to foster a corporate environment that values diversity and promotes equal employment opportunities.
Develops and implements corporate diversity strategies, to ensure compliance with federal regulations/legal requirements. Develops and implements corporate and field affirmative action programs, to ensure compliance with federal regulations/legal requirements. Designs effective internal communications to educate our workforce about diversity and equal employment opportunity (EEO) issues. Disseminates corporate policies related to EEO and non-discrimination in employment. Trains employees and establishes methods to increase awareness to EEO and diversity issues, such as cultural differences and sexual harassment. Plans, organizes, and implements various diversity outreach efforts and strategies, to increase the diversity of our applicant pool. Audits and analyzes employment data. Utilizes data analysis to determine program effectiveness and compliance status. Identifies patterns and systemic problem areas which act against protected, through investigations and data analysis. Prepares and files required affirmative action reports with government agencies. Responds to inquiries from government contacts and other external agencies regarding the company's compliance efforts. Manages Corporate Summer Intern Program. Develops and coordinates activities for Employee Resource Groups and Corporate Diversity Council. Collaborates with Community Relations and Corporate Communications to respond to special interest group inquiries and work with protected class coalitions on specific issues. Acts as a resource for company management and other Human Resources personnel regarding diversity/EEO issues. Keeps abreast of developments in diversity and EEO legislation that may impact corporate diversity/EEO strategies
Develops and maintains department budget. Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors DegreeExperience: 5 - 7 YearsPosition Requirements: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/training
Advanced degree in related field preferred
At least 5 years experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years at the management level
In-depth knowledge of Department of Labor/EEOC regulations and laws
Experience dealing with federal regulatory agencies§ Previous work experience with the administration of diversity/EEO programs and training
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within an organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated professional presentation skills
Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare reports/recommendations
Ability to effectively manage several projects, events, and programs simultaneously
Excellent leadership and management skills
