Manager, D2C Business Analytics

Overview:Provide a leadership role in business analytics for the Direct to Consumer network. Primary roles and responsibilities will focus on small package delivery services, packaging supplies, Gift presentations, financial and industry analysis.The Direct to Consumer Sr. Business Analyst will have responsibility for the following:Responsibilities: Provide analytical support for D2C upper management on delivery expense ($30 mm per annum expense account) Identify small package transportation cost take out opportunities (e.g., new carriers, carrier negotiation strategies, improved packaging, etc.) Perform audits of small package billing activity to ensure appropriate billing from carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx) Perform audits of third parties using our shipper number to ensure appropriate billing activity vs. order volume.Identify cost takeout opportunities at vendors Participate in the annual certification process warehouse small package manifesting accuracy Partner with Six Sigma organization on change management and expense reduction Drive Appropriate Expense Challenges to improve operational performance Participate in the online competitive bidding process support contract negotiations/contract interpretation for the entire D2C network D2C liaison with Central Purchasing for all supply purchasing and related issues (packing supplies, gift wrap supplies).Requirements: Strong Analytical skills Strong communication skills Strong negotiation skills Small package transportation experience One or more years previous experience in an analytical role preferred BA or equivalent workSystems/Technology Knowledge of PC programs including word, excel and Lotus Notes.Access database skills are a bonus. Working knowledge of BTR and mainframe applications a plus.
