Manager, Client Accounting

Business Unit: GE MoneyFunction: FinanceResponsibilities: - Responsible for leading all day to day activities, for recommending and implementing changes to all existing processes, to improve internal controls, eliminate inefficiencies, standardize accounting and drive productivity across COE sites.
Ensure timely, accurate and consistent completion of all contractual accounting requirements (i.e. client invoices, reserves).
Provide on-going feedback/coaching and technical support to Client Accountants in order to develop technical competence and optimize performance.
Maintain controllership over all contractual accounting items.
Partner with Client Integration and Segment Controllers to support new or proposed deals regarding invoicing, reporting and accounting issues.
Ensure accuracy and propriety of client reserve account transactions. Maintain controllership responsibility with respect to all such transactions.
Provide leadership and coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process for Client Accounting team.
Coordinate the Buyback process on terminating client deals, ensuring accurate final disposition of client-level balance sheet.
Provide analytical support to the Business on P&L analysis issues, reporting issues and invoicing queries.
Provide leadership in developing needed customized client reporting and help Systems develop such reporting. In addition, validate data integrity of any such reporting before it is put into production.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum five years accounting/finance experience
Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
Advanced PC proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet, database and general ledger)
Excellent communication skills.

Demonstrated exceptional analytical skills
Excellent problem identification and solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated commitment to quality and customer service
Strong quality mindset in terms of timeliness, accuracy, controllership and responsiveness.Desired: * MBA, CPA or FMP graduate
Prior financial services experience
Experience supervising remote employeesGeneral: Manage resources to ensure timely and accurate issuance of client invoices, accrual booking and overall compliance with program agreement. Responsible for coordinating with Business Integration Team and ensuring proper implementation of Client Accounting specific contractual obligations. Manage resources to ensure identification and resolution of all Client Accounting specific technical and operational issues. Provide support to the Business through ad hoc analysis and developing client reporting to internal customers as requested. Coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process for Client Accounting. Supervise Client Accountants and Analysts by providing ongoing direction, coaching, mentoring and appraisal. Manage Client Accounting activities performed by GENPACT (Consultants) meets quality standards.
