Talbert Medical Group, an independent physician owned medical multi-specialty group serving Orange and LA counties with nine convenient locations has an immediate opening at the Compton medical center for an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse Team Leader to assist in overseeing the clinical operations for the center!

As LVN Team Leader, primary responsibilities:

Responsible for interviewing patients, measure vital signs, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and record information on computer (EMR). Prepare treatment room for examination of patients; assists physician with procedures, clean examination room and sterilize appropriate equipment after use. Administer treatments and perform routine laboratory tests under supervision of Physician or RN. Demonstrate competency in insertion and maintenance of urinary catheters when necessary, administer prescribed medication orally or by injection (subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal) and document time, dosage and route in computer system. Perform electrocardiograph (EKG), pulse oximetry, inhalation treatments and operate other equipment. Inventory and order medical supplies and materials. Initiate intravenous lines, add plain IV fluids to existing peripheral lines and discontinue lines under direction of physician or RN. Batch and review encounter forms for completeness of coding and assist nursing management with supervision and training of other nursing staff.

Position is Monday - Friday, 8 - 5 PM and Saturday rotation

REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates will have current LVN license, IV certified with 2-3 years experience including clinical and demonstrated supervisory/charge nurse experience, strong judgment and problem solving skills, ability to multi-task in busy clinic setting while providing excellent patient care and leadership skills while setting example for team members.
