Infrastructure Service Manager

Business Unit: GE Commercial Finance, Capital SolutionsFunction: Information TechnologyResponsibilities: As an Infrastructure Service Manager in GE Capital Solutions, you will be accountable for the delivery of infrastructure plans, projects and services in support of the applications within Capital Solutions HQ. Ensure the infrastructure designs are capable of meeting Operational SLAs for performance and availability. You will also provide input into the strategic direction for infrastructure technologies.
Application Operations: Ensure infrastructure designs are capable of meeting business critical application SLAs, recovery CTQs and maintenance requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Incident & Problem Management: Review infrastructure-related incidents and RCAs. Ensure the execution of short-term preventative actions. Champion longer-term infrastructure projects and process improvements within Capital Solutions IT and GIS.
Capacity Planning: Lead the development of infrastructure capacity plans to support assigned application.
Infrastructure Project Delivery: Define infrastructure requirements and infrastructure project plans to address known gaps and FMEA identified risks within GIS.
Disaster Recovery: Collaborate with the Disaster Recovery to in quarterly execution of disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
Maintain industry knowledge related to technology trends in specific technology areas. Represent Commercial Finance on GE CTO councils. Work with GIS product leaders to evolve product plans and maintain GIS service catalog as related to a specific technology area.
Information Security: Collaborate with the Information Security Team to ensure GE security policies and standards are followed and enforced.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *4-year undergraduate degree in a technical major, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years IT experience in application or infrastructure operations in a high-volume transactional environment.
Technical depth in 1 or more technology domains: Network, Mainframe, Mid-Range, Database, Storage, Wide Area File Systems
Breadth of experience across multiple infrastructure domains.
Technical acumen - ability to learn technologies outside current areas of expertise.
Enthusiastic Change Agent: Ability to identify change, assess impact, identify customer needs and drive change acceptance.
Ability to develop and manage detailed project plans.
Green Belt Trained and TestedDesired: *Detailed knowledge of one or more large Capital Solutions IT applications (SIEBEL, Originations, LeasingSource, PMS, GLM).
DBA experience (Oracle, SQL Server).
Six Sigma certified.
CAP trained
LEAN trained.Work Traits:
