Group Logistics Manager

Ryder is seeking a Group Logistics Manager who will be responsible for six to ten customer logistics accounts or one large customer account. Responsibilities will include: the management and improvement of services provided to customers, as well as the development and implementation of customer performance measurements. Duties of this position include: management of one or more customer accounts, lifecycle, and extending existing products where feasible, safety issues, profit and loss responsibility, directing the assessment, development, launch and continuous improvement activities related to specific business or product category, and day-to-day customer interface and operation of on-site manager.Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business or related field is required. Seven to ten years’ logistics (or materials) and transportation experience with a major carrier, dedicated contract or shipper is required. Extensive experience in warehouse management to include critical service levels, ability to work with multiple client organization and requirements, development in management of specific work instructions. In depth knowledge and experience with WMS (V3 experience a plus). Experience with quality management systems (Lean Management, Six Sigma, ISO desired).
