Glass Department SupervisorSummary of Job: Supervises and coordinates the activities of direct reports engaged in I.G ProductionTrains new workers in performance of tasksConfers with other supervisors/managers to coordinate inter-departmental flow of products and informationEssential Functions: Assure the timely completion of assigned productionInsure that the workplace is safe and organizedMonitor and inspect production to ensure adherence to company rate and quality standards
Non-Essential Functions: Provide translations if bi-lingualAssist in design and process modificationsAssist in HR or IT related initiativesAssist other departments when schedules are imbalanced
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required (specific competencies): Complete knowledge of glass cutting Maintain fabrication and assembly glassIG unite assemblySealing and labelingAbility to train, read schedulesAbility to operate computerized machinery involving network downloads
Working conditions: The work environment may include loud noise levels and repetitive lifting of heavy loadsStanding and working for periods of time upt to 12 hours with minimal breaks
