General Manager / Chef Manager

Unit Description: Sodexho is seeking a talented, hands-on General Manager/Chef Manager to manage a small Business Dining account in Washington, DC. The best qualified candidate will have the skills to fufill BOTH Chef & Manager responsibilities. for a small Corporate Cafe' with limited Catering. You will interact with this Client frequently regarding all contract dining concerns. You will also manage a team of four employees and will be responsible for the Unit Financials for this $500K account.Position Summary:
Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. Hires and trains unit personnel. This is a single incumbent position for a small account where there is no Chef. Reports to DM.Basic Education Requirement:
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School DegreeBasic Management/Supervisory Experience Required:
1 year(s) of lead/supervisory/management experienceBasic Functional Experience Required:
2 year(s) You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
