JOB TITLE: Field Service Manager
DEPARTMENT: Customer Service
REPORTS TO: Regional Service Manager
LOCATION:West Coast

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Provide support to all company’s Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) in support of company’s turbine related products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret Operations manuals, work packages, field procedures, line-ups, drawings and specifications, field action requests and other technical work instructions relative to support of company’s turbine related products.

Staff, manage and support Field Service Engineers and Technicians. Work with company’s ASP’s in support of company’s turbine, field action requests and other technical work instructions.

Perform on-site power plant commissioning.

Document all Field data in QTMS

Meet schedule, budget and quality objectives that coincide with work specifications.

Ensure the proper and safe use of equipment, procedures and field processes.

Review and recommend changes to field repair procedures, if appropriate.

Assume responsibility and accountability for tool inventory from pre-job preparation through completion. Recommend procurement of, and changes to, tools and equipment.

Develop and maintain a daily written log and communicate daily activities with Customer and/or Lead Engineer, making recommendations where applicable.

Identify and communicate changes in the work scope to Field Service management as required.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•Effective communication skills, written and oral
• Must be willing to work varied shifts
•Computer literate in standard MS Office products

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Bachelor's degree or applicable military experience
•4-5 years field service experience in an electrical or gas turbine environment


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment but time will also be spent within the fabrication/production and testing facilities.
•Extensive travel may be required.
