Requires the ability to lead and manage multiple cross-functional projects/initiatives through the project management life cycle.
Interface closely with the Senior Process Manager and participate in the process innovation initiatives that identify projects as a by-product of process assessment and redesign of new models and workflow.
Requires senior-level demonstration of expertise in the areas of time management, team facilitation, organizational communication and negotiation. Must demonstrate an agility to navigate controversial issues with many CHOP customers - i.e., executive Steering Committee members, executive project sponsors/champions, project leaders at department head level and project team members. REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS Degree. Project Management experience working in the healthcare field. Project Mgmt Institute (PMI) Certification desired. TQM/CQI or process redesign or reengineering training/experience preferred.
Minimum five(5) - ten(10)years project management experience.
Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional work teams that include internal employees as well as consultants and contractors.
Demonstrated experience in researching, initiating and incorporating multiple complex projects into the business environment.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required for the successful management of this function.
Excellent ability to prioritize and organize work and consistently demonstrate initiative to improve processes. Must be able to manage multiple highly complex projects simultaneously.
Change agent demeanor. Flexible thinker, with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment. Working knowledge of the healthcare environment required, experience in outpatient clinical environment desired. Working knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and Tools - e.g., Microsoft Project. Experience in IT project management is desired.Experience with EPIC Implementations preferred.
