Environmental Health & Safety Manager

I. POSITION PURPOSE
Provide coordinated management support and program direction in the areas health, safety and environmental (HSE) program development, management, and compliance. Provide direct communication to account management on current HSE incident and compliance concerns, program development needs, and actions necessary to affect positive and sustained performance results. Interface directly with client HSE representatives to facilitate an effective integration of the clients HSE requirements and expectations into Trammell Crow's account specific HSE program. Develop and deliver effective employee and management HSE related training and orientation programs that are account specific and address all applicable regulatory training requirements. Maintain an effective performance measurement process relative to injury and incident performance, and manage all HSE related recordkeeping requirements for the specific accounts being managed.

II. ACCOUNTABILITIES
May be responsible for one or more of the following:
• Plan and conduct training and educational programs for other employees and external customers
• Develop and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness plans and processes
• Develop and monitor programs to ensure regulatory compliance in the areas of safety and health and ecology regulations
• Conduct periodic safety and health and environmental site visits to all client locations
• Administer the employee safety and health training self-study and software programs
• Maintain the hazardous waste management program and disposal documentation for hazardous waste collection sites
• Provide leadership for the following teams: Safety and Environmental Health Review Committee, Chemical Exposure
Prevention Team, and Hazardous Materials Response Team
• Serve as the Hazard Communication Officer and Chemical Hygiene Officer
REQUIREMENTS
III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• B.S. degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Natural Sciences, Engineering; or equivalent
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Healthcare Environmental Manager
(HEM)
• 5+ years environmental health management experience
• 2+ years business management experience
Or
• Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory agency requirements (e.g., OSHA) as applicable to Environmental Health and
Safety
• Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices/techniques, laws, project controls, and environmental regulations
• Possess a current driver’s license, if applicable
• Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
