Environmental Compliance Project Manager

Project manager will collaborate with the company’s operating divisions to initiate, plan, and scope out projects that will improve environmental compliance needs that are company wide. The project manager will also develop risk management plans, project schedules and financial requirements for projects under his/her direction. The project manager will manage cross functional teams that will plan, assess, and prioritize company wide environmental compliance risks. The project manager will collaborate with operating divisions and Wal-Mart University to develop environmental compliance training programs and to assess the effectiveness of existing training programs. The project manager will also initiate audits to measure and assess the effectiveness of the company’s environmental compliance program. The project manager will benchmark the company’s environmental compliance program with those of industry leaders and competitors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree
• Ability to understand Environmental laws and regulations
• Ability to initiate, plan, and scope out projects to improve environmental compliance.
• Experience in building cross functional relationships to accomplish program objectives
• Knowledge of Wal-Mart System
• Ability to execute and measure the effectiveness of environmental compliance strategies.
