Director of Bariatric Surgery

DESCRIPTION: Full-time 40+ hoursSaint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a Top 100 Hospital for Cardiac Care, invites you to join their outstanding team. The position includes clinical, research, teaching, and administrative responsibilities as part of the full-time faculty at the Hoffman Heart Institute, a regional leader in the treatment, diagnosis, prevention and research of heart disease. The Hoffman Heart cardiology program is one of the largest in the Northeast, and performs over 4,000 diagnostic and 1,300 interventional procedures annually. You will provide leadership as the assistant director of the cath lab and have an academic appointment commensurate with your experience at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, teaching in the Cardiology fellowship program. REQUIREMENTS
Education: Medical Degree. Board Eligible or Board in Internal Medicine.
Experience: One year fellowship in comgestive heart failure.Licensure: Current license to practice medicine and prescribe medications in the State of Connecticut. Meets qualifications of the hospital's Credentials Committee.Skills: Ability to interact comfortably with patients, employers, department staff, and other physicians.
