We are currently seeking dynamic candidates for Department/Assistant Managers in our Kahului/Maui, HI location.

OBJECTIVE
Responsible for overseeing sales, merchandise presentation, customer service and operational functions in a department or a group of departments within a store. Requires strong leadership skills to train, supervise and lead associates. Focus on driving sales through training, customer service and merchandise presentation.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the maintenance of floor standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Model customer service for associates and promote sales whenever interacting with associates and customers.
- Report any potential safety issues to Risk Management and any asset protection issues as needed.
- Walk the floor regularly to manage the floor for daily "on duty" responsibilities.
- Communicate with associates regarding pertinent information for daily, event or seasonal business issues.
- Review and address mystery shop results with staff promptly.
- Address any employee complaints, grievances and questions as they arise.
- Maintain Company dress code for all associates in area.
- Accountable for increasing sales, units per transaction and transactions size in the department(s).
- Ensure execution of Company sponsored training programs.
- Recruits, interviews and is involved in final selection if all department associates.
REQUIREMENTS
PREREQUISITE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Strong attention to customer service issues.
- Prior merchandising and planning responsibility necessary.
- Ability to merchandise and execute company standards successfully.
- College degree in business, fashion merchandise or marketing preferred.
- Prior experience managing people or shown ability to manage people.
- Understand and facilitate Standard Operating Procedures for area.
- 2-5 years experience in a retail environment or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skill and leadership skills, and sound judgement.
- Computer skills a plus.
- Flexibility to work any store open hours.
- Must have knowledge of local competitive environment.
